| In hopes of spotting a koala, we checked out every gum tree we happened across. Unfortunately, koalas are nocturnal and most cyclists are diurnal. We figured we had about as much chance of spotting a koala in Australia as we did of finding the elusive kiwi bird in New Zealand. Slim and none! Fortunately, Sharon makes a great second-place find as she possesses koala-like qualities -- she's both cute and cuddly. |
