Birthdays on the road can be
Spartan affairs, but Sharon carried a cake over hill and dale
so Neil could mark the passing of yet another year. After blowing
out his candle, Neil slowly started to deteriorate -- bits and
pieces of him began to fall off. The desert was taking its toll,
and Neil was feeling his age! He barely made it the 5000 kilometers
to Alice Springs -- several days of cycling... standing up --
were required to reach our destination. (Note: That is NOT my
cycling helmet I'm eating my cereal out of!) |
