The Bicycle Touring Travellers The sun blows the wind and starts another day
We set out to master the earth; tracks left on the way through
Even then the day swims through our days of time
We fall asleep; tired and dream even more really of tomorrowThe pavement and the sky lead us on till lunch
We fill our lungs and feel the hills through tired legs
And only vaguely see the old world, in the faces, by the road
Nightfall comes and insects are in the air; singing to our tentThe morning brings hunger again and strange lands surround us
We eat our fill at supper and listen to strange language
And inwardly we are strengthened, for we have the power to not understand
For our friend is the sun going down and we can see into the nightWe do not know how, but we know the earth better now
The sun moves across the sky, and shows us our way
We seek home again today and unpack for camp tonight
The soft sound of air around our faces, and we are at home as we move onFor Neil and Sharon
