Too Much Fun
Claudia and Peter invited us for breakfast. Peter made a wicked omelet. His dream in life was to become a chef. He could practice on us anytime. We recuperated by watching their slides of Greece.
Then it was back to the table. As promised by Reinhard we had turkey. And rabbit. It had mistakenly been pulled from the freezer in his eagerness. The rabbit had come from Christian's hobby. He raised rabbits in the backyard, but couldn't bear to see them killed. Andy did that part. Claudia said she was okay with eating rabbit as long as she didn't know the rabbit personally. I thought it was a great hobby.
"Meat!" his sons yelled in unison, licking their lips in anticipation. Claudia made some potato balls that disappeared quickly as well. Andy made a super salad that would have done his mother proud. But it was indeed "meat, meat, meat."
At the end of the meal we had shots of ouzo to prepare us for Greece. Yuck!
Reinhard had a bizarre hobby of growing cacti in his backyard. He had hundreds of different cacti he had collected from all over the world. We also saw the rabbits. Seeing the furry bunnies, Sherry was sorry she had eaten rabbit. But an hour earlier she had been licking her chops.
Reinhard asked if we wanted to walk around Worthsee. The thirteen kilometer jaunt took us about two hours and helped wear off some of the food and alcohol we had been plied with. By the time we returned I was hungry again.
Reinhard loved to travel. As a result we were able to travel to Madagascar and Thailand by way of Reinhard's slide collection. He had beautiful shots of temples and Buddhas. By the end of the slide show his English had improved immensely.
