October 15 Sunday some sun Bicycle touring Germany
This morning we were invited to Claudia and Peter's for breakfast. Peter made a wicked omelet. He had wanted to be a chef. He can practice on us any time.
For supper, we had turkey and rabbit. It was indeed meat, meat, meat. The rabbit comes from Christian's hobby. He raises them in the back yard. He can't bear to see them killed though, so Andy has to do that part. Claudia says she okay with it as long as she didn't know the rabbit personally. We thought it was a great hobby.
Claudia made some potato balls and they went down quickly as well. Andy made a super salad that would have done his vegetarian mother proud.
At the end of the meal, Reinhard made us ouzo drinks - to prepare us for bicycling in Greece, he said. Yuck!
Reinhard took us into the back yard to show us his hobby. Growing cacti. He has lots of different ones that he has collected from all over the world. We also saw the cute little bunnies. Sherry immediately felt sorry she ate rabbit, even though she had been licking her lips at the supper table.
To work off some of our meat, meat, meat supper, went for a walk around Worthsee. It was a 13 kilometre trek and took us about two hours. There were some stately swimming ducks as the sun set.
For evening entertainment, we watched Thailand slides. So many beautiful temples and Buddhas. Anyone for bicycle touring in Thailand?
