Bike Touring Journals by Neil Anderson and Sharon Anderson Bicycle touring journals
January 15 Sunday Bicycle touring France free camping on a beach near Bonifacio Corsica
No problems last night from being cold. Sharon can't sleep when her feet are cold. The only disturbance was a mouse intent on eating our bag of rice.
Back to sitting under our tree watching the waves, seagulls, and sun over the Mediterranean. Two ships pass between Corse and Sardegna.
I walked along the beach and discovered a small freshwater spring trickling out of the sand.
I found a wood tick crawling on my handlebar bag. We have to start checking for ticks. I hadn't considered it before.
I could become a guru. Beside the sea, that is. Windy mountain tops always have been a detraction for me. And gurus don't eat much do they? Maybe it's not such a good idea, after all.
Used our Katadyn filter for the first time. It works well. I could have arms like Arnold Shwartzenegger if we have to use it a lot.Bought something I thought was minute rice, but it turns out to be a wheat product. It is in bags to boil it in and tastes like a mix between rice and porridge. I put strawberry jam on it and it is quite palatable.
