McCulloch Station on the KVR.
A wonderful place for overnight lodgings -- either in their luxurious
cabins or the adjacent campground. The rustic dining room served
us a scrumptious array of food, too. And the following morning,
after a hearty breakfast, the good folks at McCulloch Station
packed us a bag lunch to enjoy farther down the trail... but
I wished it had been at least twice as big. Next time, I'll get
two. (Speaking of wishes, I always had a dang foolish fantasy
of sleeping with five women (menage-a-six, I suppose) and at
McCulloch Station my wish was granted! But I'll tell ya, it was
far less romantic than I had envisioned. In fact, with this particular
clan of wild wahini, a Husquavarna chainsaw convention came to
mind. I have never heard such a snoring ruckus in all my life!
Like they say, "Be careful what you wish for.") |
