| Another day off from bicycling New Zealand. In New Zealand's Milford Sound (technically a fjord -- the top ten feet or so is fresh water, with salt water below) water temperatures are a chilly ten degrees Celsius. At that temperature, hypothermia sets in quickly. The kayak tour companies made sure paddlers were warmly dressed -- and stressed we stay inside the kayak at all times! |
