| Bicycle touring Sardinia. At Santa Cristina, the site of a three-thousand year old sacred well, we stopped to have lunch. Being winter, the place was deserted; we had the entire area to ourselves. We probably could have tread unmolested to view the holy well (ancients had used it to inaugurate neophyte priests), but there was a sign informing us of an admission charge. |
