Alistair and Bruni
We met Alistair and Bruni's daughter, Tina, during
a snowstorm in Siena. She and her boyfriend had booked vacation
time to ski in the Alps... but, considering it was snowing in
Siena, you can imagine the blizzard the Alps was having. No skiing
for them. So, rather than waste their time in a hotel room, they
decided to play tourist and check out some of Siena's sights.
When they spied our loaded bicycles, they came right over and
introduced themselves. They are tandem tourists, and have cycled
many of the European countries -- both east and west. Tina said
that her mom and dad lived in England, and that if we were going
there, they would be delighted to have us stay with them. We did,
and they were! We spent a marvelous week with them (other than
the fact they were both on diets that week... and you know how
cyclists like to eat!). Alistair is an architect in London; Bruni
is a psychiatrist. You should have seen their "cottage"!
