Most likely you won't lose your way, but the
track does become muddy and slippery around the creek. After
a short distance, the trail leaves the creekside and climbs more
steeply for another kilometre. At two-and-a-half kilometres,
the trail exits the forest and opens onto a high meadow called
Conglomerate Flats: so named for its massive aggregate rocks
that have tumbled and rolled off the nearby mountain. The meadow
is a fine lunch spot, as it is often clothed in eye-arresting
wildflower finery during the summer months. |
